Lake of the Woods District Stewardship Association (LOWDSA)
Our support towards their LakeSmart program helps LOWDSA provide education on environmental sustainability to the Lake of the Woods community. Thanks to their dedication, the natural beauty of our region has been well preserved!
Ducks Unlimited
Ducks Unlimited Canada has dedicated many years to conservation and rehabilitation projects in order to maintain and protect our wetlands. Providing support to their annual fundraiser brings them one step closer to upholding the preservation of our wetlands for years to come.
One Vote, One Dollar
With our One Vote One Dollar initiative held during our merger vote, we donated $15,000 to fight food insecurity in our communities alongside Northern Credit Union.
Youth in Philanthropy
The Youth in Philanthropy program, organized by Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation, is designed to introduce youth with philanthropic principles and community development. Every year, we see students engage in a hands-on learning experience as they identify and address community needs.
Feed Ontario
Feed Ontario strives to relieve hunger in our communities, while driving change through research and advocacy to ensure a future where everyone is food secure. As part of our ongoing dedication to supporting communities in the north, Northern Credit Union and Copperfin Credit Union have made a joint donation to Feed Ontario, further demonstrating our commitment to ensuring individuals have access to meals.
The financial well-being of our community depends on our abilities to understand and use financial information in a way that helps make life forward decisions. We’re proud to offer free financial literacy workshops that offer a variety of financial topics.
If you’re interested in hosting a workshop, please contact youngleaders@copperfin.ca
Choosing how to best support our communities is something we take a lot of pride in. We often feel like we could be doing more, so we want your input!
