Recognizing and acknowledging the significance for food security, we worked with our members to support and improve the efforts to combat food insecurity in our communities. We value our community partnerships and their dedication to supporting such an important cause.
Regional Food Distribution Association (RFDA)
RFDA’s programs strive to bridge the gap between those who need food and those who can provide it. They collect donations and then distribute fresh and nutritious food to remote and underserved communities.
Humble Harvest
Humble Harvest is a community-based organization that takes best before food from local stores to distributes it to anyone in need.
Thunder Bay Community Foundation
The Thunder Bay Community Foundation connects individuals and organizations with causes where they can support their initiatives. They provide community leadership and other related funds to invest in people and charitable organizations that will have the most impact and improve the quality of life and well-being of those within our community.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army offers practical assistance for children and families, often tending to the basic necessities of life to those in need. A few of their many programs specialize in providing meals to both individuals and schools within our community.
St. Andrew's Dew Drop Inn
Dew Drop Inn is a local soup kitchen that provides a safe, warm, welcoming place where individuals can go to get a hot meal with no questions asked. Their dedicated team serves over 300 meals a day to help keep our community full.
Our Kids Count (OKC)
Our Kids Count works with individuals and families to promote the health and development of all children and youth who are in financial need. They have a community kitchen with an emergency food cupboard to help ensure families are fed and children have lunches for school.
Shelter House
The Shelter House offers emergency relief and essential resources in our community to help achieve societal change. They provide food, shelter, and aid to those needing a fresh start and through donations they have the ability to provide two hot meals a day.

The financial well-being of our community depends on our abilities to understand and use financial information in a way that helps make life forward decisions. We’re proud to offer free financial literacy workshops that offer a variety of financial topics.
